Orissa DHE to introduce e-admission in 60 junior colleges
The Department of Higher Education will implement a pilot project for e-admission in 60 junior colleges in Orissa under Student Academic Management System (SAMS). Under the project, students can file their application for admission through online.
The Higher Education Secretary, Madhusudhan Padhi told media that under SAMS - 51 government colleges and nine aided colleges made online for the admission for 30,644 seats. This is a pilot project and would be implemented in the other colleges in phases.
In order to apply online for the admission students can get the Common Application Form (CAF) and Common Prospectus (CS) from the website 'www.dheorissa.in''. The CAF and CF will be available at college counters from June 16, students can get those by paying Rs 20 and Rs 10. Students can file their application from June 16 to June 30.
Using the CAF students can opt several streams and colleges with a cost. They need to pay Rs 50 each for first five options, Rs 75 each for next four options, Rs 100 for each four options and Rs 200 each for beyond 14 colleges and streams.
The online admission or e-admission would be easier for students to apply in various colleges and streams through only one CAF. They can track their status of their application through a token number that is provided at the time of submission.
