Record generation at NTPC Talcher

National Thermal Power Corporation(NTPC) Talcher Thermal has recorded the highest ever annual generation in the last financial year by achieving 3734.74 Million Units (MU) with 92.68 per cent plant load factor (PLF), according to media reports.

NTPC Talcher unit has come one of the most top ten performers in India. Due to the high generation recorded this year, the unit has become first unit in the eastern region for the performance.

The NTPC Talcher unit was started in the year 1968, but the generation of 3734.74 Million Units (MU) is achieved for the first time. The company sources say that March 2009 has recorded the highest monthly generation.
