No foreign placement for IIM Calcutta students this year

There is huge impact of global slowdown on the placements in Indian Institute of Management (IIM) - one of the premier institutes of India. This year no single student of the post graduate programme for executives at IIM Calcutta (IIM-C) has got overseas placement.

During the placement session last year, six students got international jobs that averaged an annual pay of $120,750, while the highest offer came at $200,000 a year. This year might be the worse year for the graduates from such premier institutes.

This year going to be very tough for the students as the impact of the global slowdown is high on the job market. Foreign companies have been recruiting students form IIM-C but this year the no student got the international job offers.
