NHPC to form joint venture with Orissa for power projects

National Hydroelectric Power Corporation - India (NHPC) to start a joint venture with the Orissa government for setting up power projects in the state, according to media reports.

The NHPC Chairman and Managing Director S K Garg told media that NHPC would sign a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the government of Orissa to set up power projects in the state.

NHPC has expressed its interest over setting up plants and repairing of the plants in the state. However , they have not reached over any financial deal over the same. It is expected that the deal would take place in future.
