HC stays govt English-medium school fee hike circular

The government in its March 27 circular had also allowed the English medium schools' authorities, to increase their development fees by 15 per cent. The High court hearing over this stayed the operation of the government circular, according to media reports.

A single judge of Justice M M Das yesterday stayed the operation of the government circular and issued notice to the opposite parties to file their counters with in seven days.

The parents' association of a Cuttack-based schools challenged the decision of the state government over this. The next hearing would be held on May 4.
