Orissa BJP to share equal seats with BJD

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Orissa leaders made it clear the party will follow the old seat-sharing equation with Biju Janata Dal (Dal) for coming the general election and state assembly election.

The BJP State unit executive body meeting was held on Friday at Party office in Bhubaneswar. BJP will contest from nine seats and BJD will get 12 seats to contest for the coming general elections. The formula of sharing seats for the State Assembly election would be as same BJP would fight from 63 seats and the BJD would contest from 84 seats.

The BJP and BJP alliance has been for last ten years says BJP State President Suresh Pujari, he also assured to continue the alliance for future elections also. BJD won 9 , 10, 11 seats in the general elections of 1998, 1999 and 2004 respectively.
