Kandhamal Nun Rape Case: TIP to be held on Monday

The test identification parade (TIP) in the alleged nun rape case in Kandhamal, will be held on Monday, January 5. The TIP was scheduled to be held in Choudwar Jail yesterday. However, the nun did not turn up, making further delay in the probe. According to police sources, the nun wanted to keep the TIP as a secret exerice and avoid "unnecessary" media attention.

The 10 accused, who were arrested over the last three months, were brought from Baliguda sub-jail to Choudwar amid high security. There is no confirmed report on the nun's whereabouts. However, leaders and police were tight lipped, said that the nun had already reached Orissa.

By this tactics there is chance of the nun getting the phtographs of the accused persons before the TI parade. This is the only reason why the nun is delaying her participation in TI parade. This is injustice with the accused persons. Such TI parade will have no sanctity except being used for a media trial.
