CM seeks Rs 1520 crore Central Package for Railway network
The Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik has demanded for a Rs 1520 crore Central package for overall development of railway network in the state on Saturday. Patnaik stressed over the faster growth of railway infrastructure in a letter to the Prime Minister.
The faster growth of railway infrastructure help the going industrialization process and development in the state. The chief minister insisted many demands including the establishment of a rail coach factory, rail connectivity to KBK region, gauge conversion, doubling of different railway links, new rail links to different states and introducing of new trains.
The demands made by the Chief Minister may be allocated through the Railway Budget 2009-10. The development of the railways infrastructure would help the states economy.
