Vedanta starts Rs 300-cr Township Project in Orissa

The Vedanta group starts Rs. 300 cr township project in Orissa, In order to accommodate their staff. While the group has already started $4 billion aluminium project in Orissa. The Vedanta project envisages providing sophisticated and urban living accommodations and amenities to over 1,400 employees, who are already stationed at Jharsuguda aluminium plant.

The Vedanta group is importing services of ECADI a leading architect firm of China. Vedanta, the metals and mining major, plans to pump in a whopping $4 billion to ramp up the capacity of its aluminium smelter to 1.8 million tonne by 2010. The concept of township is very important for the aluminum plants.
