Job Quota for Locals in all Industrial Projects in Orissa

Breaking News! In a significant development, the State government has decided to fix a job quota for local people of the state in all industrial projects. As per the new provisions, 90% of the jobs for unskilled and semi-skilled categories would be reserved for the people in the state.

Similarly, there will be a local quota of 60% for supervisory level jobs and 30% quota for managerial level jobs. There will be no quota at the senior executive level.

Only people, holding a domiciliary status in Orissa, will be eligible to get the benefits of new job quota system. The decision was taken by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik. The new job quota system will be applied across all MoUs signed by the state government. The government's move is seen as historic, as it will resolve the unemployment problem in the state to a great extent.
