Fitment Committee prepares final report, Pay Hike likely in December
The state government employees in Orissa are all set to get a pay hike as per the recommendations of sixth pay commission reports, as the Fitment Committee appointed by the state government has prepared its final report after hearing all employee associations. the Fitment Committee was headed by RDC Commissioner RN Bahidar.
According to sources, the state government will for a pay hike for all state government employees in December 2008. However, it is not known if the government will accept all recommendations of the sixth pay commission or go by its own calculations while announcing a pay hike.

state govt.of orissa should implement the pay scale as per the implementation made by central govt.As the nature of work in both state govt.& central govt. is almost same,so pay pakage should be same for each case
As poorest states like chattisgarh,Uttaranchal,UP,MP and others states like WB,TamilNadu,Andhra Pradesh,haryana were already accepted almost all recomendations of 6th pay pay commission,then why orissa govt would n't accept all recomendations ? Orissa CM announced that this fitment committe would rectify all anomalies left in 4th and 5th fitment committees but it is known from some reliable sourec that the present 6th fitment committe also craeting big anomalies by reducing grade pay and dismissing conveyance allowance,education allowance etc.
A government going for an election would why so cautious in paying its staffs in its last days ? Are they going to pay from their pockets...? Althought poor states accepted all recomendations then why orissa gov is becoming so KANJOOS ? if it would not accept all recomendations then it must face the anger of its staffs & voters.
all hype is around air pay is to be increased but i want to know what will be my salary on 1/1/2006 if my scale of pay is 6500-225-11000 and the number of increments is nil as on date 1.01.2006 with house rent allowance of 18% and medical allowancw of 5%
It's a Good News for all the Regular Government Employee that the Orissa Government has decided to implement the Sixth Pay Commission which is recommended by the Fitment committee constituted by the Government. But, What step has the government of Orissa taken for the employee who are in contractual basis. Are not they worked for the Government of Orissa. Every one knows that the employee in contractual basis are working hard other then the regular. But Why Government is so silent abt them. Are not they living in the present society. Is the price of Daily Needs are differnet for a Contractual Employee working under Government Orissa? Governments are telling that in present society, we abolish the tradition of Bonded Labour. But what abt the Contractual Employee under Government Of Orissa? Are not they working like a Bonded Labour?
Helo to all I am one of the Contractual Employee of Orissa Government in E-Goverance programme, Gov. announce that the pay hike of Contractual employee is not raise where as we are the employee who work more than a regular employee apart from this we do more work of other schmen othar than our native work. The all work is done in a quick manner by our computer thus we are ignore by the gove so i pray to all the senior people of orissa to give there mercy to us other than god will decide our matter in the court of JAM RAJ.
Government hike the salary of regualr employee but we the Contractual employee who work more from them from regular employee and do other section work as well as the DDO's work in the over time basic but no more rewards as we get a little sum of remuneration which is vary much low in compare with a PEON's salary as we are higly qualified(As I am a E-Governance employee of the Orissa Government)ok lets give vote to the GOD not to the P Party
contractual employees have been employed in differnt ranks and their emoulments were finalized on the basis of the basic pay applicable to the corresponding rank. presently after implementation of 6th pay commision report the basic pay of all the ranks have been hiked by more than two times. hence Govt. should consider to hike the emoulments of contractual employees accordinlgy.
