Orissa gets India's First Titanium Plant

Breaking News! The Orissa government on Thursday achieved a milestone by signing an MoU for setting up India's first-ever Titanium Plant. The Titanium Chemical and Metallurgical Complex will be set up at Chhatrapur in Ganjam district. The Rs. 2,000-cr project is a joint venture bewteen the Government of Russian Federation and Saraf Group.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnail signed the MoU with the Titanium Products Private Limited (TPPL) to set up the project in the state. The TPPL has already been allocated the land and it would commence productioby October 2010. According to CM Naveen Patnaik, the project wil provide direct employment to 1200 people.

Well,this is another Oil Refinary/POSCO or Kalinga Nagar in making.last 3 years our state govt has signed 50+ MOUs,how many plants came up?
When will the govt understand that for industrial projects,we should first concentrate on a particular area for some BIG projects,then buy the land and sign MOU then only!!!
