It seems unlikly the violence in Kandhamal will cease given that it has continued unabated now for over 6 weeks. Perhaps those committing these crimes wish to form a New India, one that will accept killing, beating and destroying property of others as an acceptable way of life. Since the Orissa government seems without passion to promote justice, then it must be assumed that the leaders of Orissa would like this violence to continue.
