Kandhamal burns again; 1 Person killed, 100 Houses burnt
Breaking News! Kandhamal burns again! In a shocking development, miscreants belonging to Christian community alleged killed a person called Raghav Digal and injured one other at Sisapanga village in Kandhamal. They also burnt over 60 houses during the night. Tension mounted in Sisapanga after the gruesome killing of Raghav Digal. Over hundreds of tribals from Hindu community have vowed to avenge Raghav's death and may launch a planned attack soon.The security forces have been put on high alert in the affected areas. According to latest reports, over 100 houses (of both communities) and some churches have been set on fire in a day in various places of Kandhamal. Since the Christians have begun retaliating to the attacks made by radical Hindus, situation may go out of control if the government does not act tough. The state government has sought 10 additional battalions of security personnel from the centre.

Both State and Central government seem obsessed with doing nothing to control the situation. The stench of injustice has filled the air and now permeates out to stain and besmirch the decent name of the Indian people and all for which Mahatma Gandi strived. Did the great leader ever deaire killing and burning? He wanted India to be a free nation but to qualify, a nation must have a structured government which encourages civilized behavior. Since both State and Central governments seem disinterested in supporting civilized actions, then the flames of discord must continue to burn and spread like an insidious disease destroying the very soul of India. The sickness is found in those perpetrating the violence but the greater evil is in the complacency of the people who are in charge of government.
