Greater Jharkhand demand: Orissa JMM backtracks, but exposed in Public
After JMM's demand for a Greater Jharkhand with the inclusion of 3 districts each from Orissa and West Bengal met with widespread protests across the state, the state unit of JMM backtracked on its demand and claimed that it was a false propaganda to malign the party.The claim was made by Sudam Marandi, MP from Mayurbhanj. However, local newspapers exposed him and his party before the public today. The local newspapers including "The Samaja" published a copy of the 13-point memorandum submitted by JMM to UPA government. The first point demands a Greater Jharkhand with the inclusion of 3 districts each from Orissa and West Bengal. The JMM has demanded Mayurbhanj, Keonjhar and Sundargarh from Orissa. The latest development exposed the true face of Orissa JMM leaders before public eye.
