People in Dhinkia formed human chains to prevent the surveyors from conducting the survey on the Posco project site. They were lensed with arms and lathis. The authorities did not enter the village and carried out their survey in adjacent Gobindpur village. Dhinkia village is considered as the epicentre of anti-Posco movement. Hundreds of people including women and children gathered around the temoprary fences to prevent the entry of survey team into their area.
However, the Special Special Land Acquisition Officer Nrusingh Swain said that district administration has already excluded Dhinkia village from survey and land demarcation.
