Orissa Government to bring Bill on OBC Quota

The Orissa government has decided to bring a special legislation in the coming Budget Session, which will ensure 27 per cent reservation in government jobs for OBCs. According to the government sources, reservation of 11.25 per cent for OBCs will be implemented as an interim measure and 15.75 per cent of jobs will be kept vacant.

The vacant posts will be filled up after completion of the legal process. Currently, the OBCs enjoy 11.25 per cent reservation, while the STs and SCs enjoy 38.75 per cent reservation.
