Three Maoists arrested in Orissa

The Orissa police achieved a major breakthrough by arresting three Maoists who were planning to launch a major strike in Malkangiri district on the eve of Republic Day celebrations.

The police also seized huge quantities of explosives (including a country-made gun, landmines, 50 gelatin sticks and detonators) from their camp in Motu area. One of arrested Maoists was from Chhatisgarh, while the two others were from Malkangiri district.
