Orissa Steelers beaten, Bangalore Hi-Fliers in Final of PHL

The Bangalore Hi-Fliers dashed Orissa Steelers's hope of making to the final of the PHL, after beating them in a nail-biting finish in the semi final. The Hi-Fliers were two goals down at one stage, but made a great come back to drag the contest into extra time, and then to penalty shoot-outs.

In the tie-breaker, the Bangalore Hi-Fliers won 3-2 to march into the best of three finals. For Orissa Steelers, Sunil Ekka scored both goals, while Len Aiyappa score both goals for Hi-Fliers. Bangalore goalkeeper Bharat Chetri won the "Player of the Match" award.

The other match between Chandigarh Dynamos and Hyderabad Sultans too witnessed a close contest and went into tie breaker. Chandigarh Dynamos won the match 4-2 in penalty shoot-outs. The finals will be held on January 7 and 9. If required, the third final will be played on January 11.
