Orissa Govt: Bijayashree Routray in World Bank report
The State Government has revealed the former Health Minister Bijayshree Routray was named in the World Bank report for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 5 lakh during the implementation of Orissa Health System Development Project (OHSDP). The revelation came after a World Bank team met Chief Secretary Ajit Tripathy. According to the World Bank team, the money was paid in 2005.The latest revelation charged the political atmosphere in the state. While Bijayshree Routray expressed shock and surprise and dismissed the allegations, opposition parties including the Congress have accused Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for the irregularities and demanded his immediate resignation.
