Maoists attack Forest Office in Sambalpur

Maoists attacked a forest office at Jamankira in Sambalpur late on Friday night. They set the office on fire and torched more than a dozen vehicles. According to officials, all important documents and the vehicles have bee destroyed. The Maoists included two women, who were identified by the police.

The Maoists also went to forester K C Nath's residence, misbehaved with his wife and daughter and robbed them of cellphones, ornaments, sarees and Rs 15,000 cash. They also took the forester's rifle and walkie-talkie. The forester was not there when the incident took place.
