Juel Oram accuses BJD MP Sugriv Singh of masterminding attack on Hindu Leader

In an interesting development, BJP MP and National Vice President of the party, Juel Oram has accused Phulbani MP Sugriv Singh of masterminding the attack on Hindu religious leader Swami Laxmanananda Saraswati, which triggered widespread violence and turned into a communal riot in entire Kandhamal district.

The BJP delegation under the leadership of Juel Oram, visited riot-affected Kandhamal on Wednesday and took stock of the situation. They expressed dissatisfaction over the distribution of relief materials and urged the state government to ensure fast action to help the affected people.

The BJP alleged that Hindus were still living under fear in the area and their plight go unnoticed by politicians, administration and the visiting dignitaries who only express concern over the plight of Christians. They also stressed on the need for a strict anti-conversion law to stop illegal and unfair conversion.
