Padmanabh Behera resigned

Orissa Steel and Mines Minister and BJD leader from Kandhamal district, Padmanabh Behera resigned from his post in the wake of recent violence in the district that claimed at least 12 lives so far. Mr Behera resigned, owning moral responsibility for failing to stop the violence. His house and properites were also attacked by the angry mob many times after the violence broke out in Kandhamal district.
