NDA Impact: PM agreed to discuss National Mining Policy

Bowing to constant pressure from the NDA MPs belonging to Orissa, Rajasthan, Karnataka, Jharkhand and Chhatisgarh, the PM Manmohan Singh agreed to discuss the National Mining Policy with the Chief Ministers of the above five states. It was conveyed by Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil. The decission came after the NDA MPs stalled proceedings of both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha on this issue.
