Judicial probe ordered into Kandhamal Violence

The Orissa government has ordered a judicial probe into the communal violence in tribal-dominated Kandhamal district that claimed three lives and injured many. More than a dozen churches have been vandalized in the series of violent incidents that continued for the past few days.

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik ordered the probe after visiting the riot-torn area on Thursday.
