American Website uses images of Deities in Undergarment

The Orissa Government has taken a strong exception to the use of Lord Jagannath's image by an American website to market its products that include undergarments. Law Minister B B Harichandan said that Orissa Government would take up the matter with the US Embassy.

A group of Hindu devotees have already lodged an FIR against the online shopping website (http://www.cafepress.com) in Puri. The website has launched a range of apparel using the images of Lord Jagannath, Balabhadra, Subhadra, Laxmi and Hanuman.
