Orissa has an upperhand against Baroda in the Ranji Trophy Super League Group B encounter. Riding on a fine century scored by Shiv Sunder Das, Orissa took a 39-run first innings lead against the host team. Orissa scored 294 in reply to Baroda's first innings score of 255. Das scored 114. Baroda reached 120/3 on the penultimate day of the match. At one stage, they were 11/3. However, Azharuddin Bilakhia (46*) and Gaekwad (58*) built the Baroda innings.
