Raids on Nurisng Homes in Orissa continues

Raids on nursing homes in Sundargarh district continued on Friday. At least 17 nursing homes and pathological clinics were sealed so far out of which 11 belonged to Rourkela Municipal area. An ultra-sound centre at Rajgangpur was sealed and a criminal case filed against its for illegal functioning.

The raids followed by reports of disposal of fake medicines and illegal ultra-sound cases in and around Rourkela and Sundargarh. Most of the units raided by the officials lacked the mandatory registration for running diagnostic centres. The raids were conducted on clinics run by certified medicos and quacks operating at slum pockets.
