Puri Beach Festival begins

The 13th Puri Beach Festival made a colorful start with much fanfare. Orissa Governor Muralidhar Chandrakant Bhandare inaugurated the festival. A large number of artists, tourists and other dignitaries attended the inauguration ceremony. This was the first time Muralidhar Chandrakant Bhandare attended the Puri Beach Festival and he looked bewitched by its charm.

State Tourism Minister Debiprasad Mishara, State Assembly Speaker Maheswar Mohanty, Chairperson of Puri Municipal Corporation Gourahari Pradhan and Chairman of Hotel and Restaurant Association (HRAO) J.K. Mohanty too attended the function. Noted danseuse Rupashree Mohapatra performed Mahari dance, while Nabakishore Mishra and his group performed the Odissi dance.
