Cyclone Alert withdrawn from Orissa

In a huge relief for the people of Orissa, the Super Cyclone alert has been formally withdrawn by the state administration after the confirmation from the Met Department.

The cyclone Sidr, which has already hit Sagar Islands in West Bengal, caused heavy rains in coastal areas of West Bengal and is now moving towards Bangladesh. Situation in Bangladesh is continued to be grave and it is likely to be worse in the next 24 - 48 hours.
