BSE Officials arrested

The Capital police arrested three former BSE (Board of Secondary Education) employees for their alleged involvement in the "magic marks" scandal that benefited the son of former school and mass education minister Bishnu Charan Das.

The scandal created raised a lot of hue and cry three months ago, leading to the resignation of the minister and a crime branch inquiry then after. With the arrest of the culprits, it is expected that truth will finally come out. The arrested people included Ex-Secretary Minaketan Pani, Ex-Controller Manmohan Swain and Ex-Section Officer (confidential) Nityananda Sutar. Investigations are still going on.
