RSS celebrates its Foundation Day

The Bhubaneswar branch of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangha (RSS) celebrated its 83rd Foundation Day on the auspicious day of Vijaya Dashami or Dassehra. A large number RSS activists and other top leaders including Mr. Kamala Kant Das attended the meet at the UG ME School Ground, VSS Nagar.

RSS was founded on Vijaya Dashami day of 1925. Since then, it has witnesseds a remarkable growth. Some of the top RSS pupils include A B Vajpayee, L K Advani, Uma Bharati, Madan Lal Khurana, Narendra Modi, Kalyan Singh and Murali Manohar Joshi. RSS has a strong presence in Orissa too.

The day began with RSS members and other local people gathering at the venue where RSS drummers beat the drum to enthuse spirit among the masses. After traditional prayer, a group of RSS activists showed their martial arts and physical fitness skills. Then the top leaders addressed the huge gathering. They regretfully admitted that RSS is losing the momentum and its vision and stressed on the need for new strategies and plans to make the organization stronger and more powerful.
