Strike at SCB Medical College continues

The junior doctors, house surgeons, nursing staff and MBBS students of SCB Medical College, Cuttack have gone on an indefinite strike to protest against the repeated attack on them by attendants of patients. The work at the SCB Medical College came to a complete halt, as the strike continues.

The Junior Doctors' Association (JDA) also demanded the immediate removal of hospital superintendent JK Balabantray, terming him unfit for administrative work. The strike started by the junior doctors got a boost on Thursday, when house surgeons and nursing staff joined it. The hospital staff are demanding fullprrof security during night hours. The Orissa Medical College Teachers; Association (OMTA) and Orissa Medical Service Association (OMSA) also supported the JDA-led strike.

I want to inform you all that junior doctors association is not fighting for its own. its for the benefit of all. If doctors are non safe in there working place how they can give good service to the patient.
